The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses Presented to Adventist Health – Glendale

Batoul Salameh

Batoul Salameh, a nurse at Adventist Health – Glendale, was recently honored with the DAISY Award. The DAISY Award is an international recognition program started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Barnes’ family experienced first-hand the difference his nurses made in his care through clinical excellence and outstanding compassionate care. The family created The DAISY Award to express gratitude to nurses and to enable other patients, families, and staff to thank and honor their special nurses.

Salameh was recognized for “always being on top of things” and “making sure that every patient and staff is well taken care of,” according to the nomination made on her behalf by another charge nurse.

“She has such a graceful and positive attitude in the way she leads and no matter how crazy a shift gets,” the nominating party added. “Thanks to Batoul, we get through it. Her hard work and dedication to our patients and staff makes our working environment much more manageable.”
