3800 Madison Road in La Cañada Flintridge, the front driver’s side window was shattered and items were missing from a vehicle overnight.
4800 block of Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, a toolbox was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between May 9-May 14.

2100 block of Lyans Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that her son had found a vehicle in the classifieds and bought it as a “project car.” She contacted the seller who said he was serving in the U.S. Army and was currently deployed in Kuwait. He was using the services of a shipping company who would act on his behalf. The seller told the woman to deposit the payment for the vehicle into an escrow account and after the vehicle was delivered she and her son would have seven days to test drive and confirm the purchase.
The woman continued communication with the seller. She had been instructed to send the money to a Wells Fargo account, which she did. The beneficiary was C&A Automotive Warehouse LLC. She was told a company named Cross Country Freight Solutions would be handling the transportation. The woman received a bill of sale but became suspicious of the transaction and contacted her bank about the wire transfer to the Wells Fargo account. She found that account had been closed after she transferred the funds. She contacted the freight company and was told she was victim of a scam and they had discovered their company’s information was being used to scam people.
The theft by false pretense occurred between March 6 and April 20.
3000 block of Cloudcrest Drive in La Crescenta, a sliding glass door of a residence was shattered, several rooms were ransacked and security cameras were stolen from a home between 5:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.

1000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a man reported that he noticed his wallet was missing after he had pumped gas at the 76 service station. He did not notice the missing wallet until the next day. He returned and discovered that some of his credit cards had been returned to a service station employee by an unknown person. His wallet and other credit cards were still missing.
The incident occurred between May 4 at 8:42 p.m. and May 5 at 6:38 a.m.

2100 block of La Cañada Crest Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported that her vehicle had been vandalized with several scratches throughout the body of her vehicle between May 2-May 4.

2900 block of Los Olivos Lane in La Crescenta, a catalytic converter was stolen from an RV parked at the location between May 1-May 8.
