Town Council Meets Tonight
The virtual monthly meeting of the Crescenta Valley Town Council is tonight, Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. In addition to reports from local agencies, the agenda includes an update by the CV Water District general manager on CVWD’s local hazard mitigation plan, and an overview by the California Dept. of Transportation of the Ambassador Program.

Rosemont Preserve Open Gate Morning
All are invited to an “open gate” at the Rosemont Preserve on Sunday morning, April 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is a chance for visitors to visit the Preserve and wander the trail at their own pace, enjoying the tranquil setting, the wildlife and the natural beauty. Photographers: Bring your camera to capture the early morning light and citizen scientists, bring your iNaturalist app to add the wildlife sightings!
LA County guidelines are being followed in requiring visitors to wear masks and practice social distancing while visiting the Preserve.
Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions.
This event is free to the public and suitable for all ages; no reservations required. Rain cancels the event. Sorry, no pets please.
The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. As street parking is limited, park at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave. Those with mobility issues that require a closer parking spot should email RosemontFriends@gmail.com.

Local Blood Drive
Christian Life Church is having a blood drive on Tuesday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. According to the American Red Cross, there has been a steep drop in donors yet there is a critical need for donations to ensure ARC meets the needs of hospitals.

CVCA to Meet Thursday, April 22
The Crescenta Valley Community Association will have its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 22 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The meeting will include discussion on local issues as well as an opportunity for Foothill area residents to bring their own concerns.
