More than 130 bowlers and supporters gathered at Pickwick Bowl in Burbank on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6 to bowl their best at The Campbell Center’s 25th Annual Bowl-A-Thon.  Amid cheers, camaraderie, some impressive strikes and overall fun, bowlers and TCC clients helped make this silver anniversary event a memorable and successful one. Contributing to the success, and noteworthy for their support, were event sponsors Gibson International, Western Drug, Resmed, retired GPD captain and Foundation board president Todd Stokes and Jodi Deranja Real Estate.

“The TCC Bowl-A-Thon is such an eagerly anticipated fundraiser not only by our supporters but most especially by our clients who get to show their bowling prowess on the lanes,” said Foundation board member Jodi Deranja. “I know my brother-in-law and TCC client Peter looks forward to the event all year long.”

The Campbell Center was founded in 1954 as a nonprofit organization by Phyllis and Jerry Campbell, parents of a daughter with Down syndrome whom no school within the Glendale school system would accept because of her disability. Over the ensuing nearly 62 years, The Campbell Center has evolved into an agency whose mission is to partner with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to successfully gain independence and attain their desired outcomes through opportunity and choice.
