Jack and Jackey Warner celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 18 at Foothill Retirement.
They both attended John Marshal High School and grew up in the same neighborhood in Los Angeles but actually met in 1945 when Jackey’s mom was taking care of Jack after the war. He had been shot seven times in Germany and needed around-the-clock care.
They dated for several months, fell in love, and got married a year later when Jackey was 17 and Jack was 21.
They both agree that they’re greatest accomplishments are “we’re still happily married” and “our beautiful family.”
