Glendale Area Schools Federal Credit Union, part of CULookup.com, is benefiting from Arianna Huffington’s “Move Your Money” campaign that advocates consumers taking their business out of big banks.

On Dec. 29 Huffington launched the campaign, urging consumers to bank at local financial institutions instead of big banks. Since then credit unions have been touted on media outlets such as ABC Nightly News and the American Banker, as well as several blogs.
Credit unions are not-for-profit, member-owned cooperatives that traditionally offers better rates on savings accounts and loans, lower fees and higher levels of service.
