The Road To Communism
Pro-vaccination zealots praise businesses for firing employees who refuse to get the shot. Yet, when a business refuses to bake a cake, these same zealots will resort to anything in order to drive that business out of business.
A business has the right to fire anyone if it deems it is good for the business. It should also be their decision whether or not to provide certain services in accordance with their business model. After all, it is the bottom line that determines the success or failure of a business. Government should not intercede in the activities of businesses by imposing mandates as such mandates will empower the government to overreach its function leading to an authoritarian form of dictatorship found only in communist countries.
The road to communism is lined with welcoming democrats who yearn to turn our great country into a Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea or China.

Cheers Scholarship Awardees
I loved reading all the community groups giving scholarships to our high school graduates. I just wanted to add that the La Crescenta Woman’s Club also gave out six scholarships to the following students, each scholarship ranging from $200 to $500. The La Crescenta Woman’s Club gives scholarships every year continuing through the pandemic as well.
2021 scholarship winners were Karina Gevorkian, Nareh Harotonian, and Andre Hiwatig from Clark Magnet High School; Ella Tamny and Sarah Ricci from Crescenta Valley High School; and Noah McMahon from St. Francis High School.
Information about the club’s continuing scholarship program is available on the website lacrescentawomansclub.org.
