The Crescenta Valley Town Council has been actively engaging the community through town hall meetings and forums to address various concerns and issues affecting the local area. The recent town hall meeting saw a great turnout by community members and panelists Declan Floyd and Talin Mangioglu from Senator Portantinos’s office, Anthony Mahfood from Assemblymember Laura Friedman’s office, and county representatives Sussy Nemer, Anish Saraiya and Tina Fung coming together to discuss important topics.
As the new school year approaches, the CVTC has recognized the need to address traffic concerns around local schools. To tackle this issue, a community forum has been organized for Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd. The presentation will feature guest speakers from LA County, including representatives from CHP and LASD – Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. This forum allows community members to voice their concerns and collaborate on solutions to improve traffic safety in school zones. For more information on the event, please get in touch with Dede Mueller at dede@thecvcouncil.com.
In addition to the upcoming community forum, CVTC will hold its regularly scheduled general meeting on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library. These meetings are crucial for residents to engage with council members, discuss community issues and stay informed about local developments. Your participation in these meetings is vital to the progress and well-being of our community.
The CVTC remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a strong and connected community where residents’ voices are not only heard but also valued. By actively engaging with the community and working with local representatives, the CVTC aims to address concerns, promote positive change and create a safe and thriving environment for all residents. We encourage you to mark your calendars for these important events and join us in shaping the future of Crescents Valley.
