The CV Weekly is to be congratulated for the approach taken by reporting the positive effect COVID-19 is having on our community. Unfortunately, the media overall is very negative. In my opinion they sensationalize everything, which only creates havoc. It would help everyone’s frame of mind if the media would report the incredible effort and sacrifice our medical profession and organizations are doing to get us back to normalcy.

Interestingly, the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic death toll far exceeds COVID-19. Around 500 million people were infected. The death toll worldwide was around 50 million. They did have one thing in their favor . . . they didn’t have a media that made matters worst.
