La Cañada Presbyterian Church is presenting a contemporary interpretation of the classic novel “The Screwtape Letters.” This theatrical production, being presented in the round, is adapted from C.S. Lewis’ text as well as the stage play “Screwtape” by James Forsyth.
All are invited to this one-of-a-kind dramatic experience. “The Screwtape Letters” is a masterpiece of satire which gives a shockingly honest portrayal of human life from the vantage point of demons. At times wildly comic, yet deadly serious and strikingly original, this adaptation brings to life the tutelage of the worldly-wise old devil, “Screwtape” and his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon who is charged with securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.
“The Screwtape Letters” will be presented in the round in the Worship Arts Center of LCPC. This production runs one weekend only, on May 13 and May 14 at 8 p.m. and May 15 at 4 p.m. at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Boulevard, La Cañada. For reservations email Justin S. Fisher at justin@lacanadapc.org or call (818) 790-6708. x 304.
