Ruth Ada Cassara


Feb. 12, 1939 – Sept. 9, 2018

Ruth Ada Cassara was born on Feb. 12, 1939 in Kendall, Wisconsin and raised in La Crescenta. She and her husband Victor Cassara resided in Sunland.

Ruth was 17 when she married Victor. Her faith and their shared belief in family values were the foundation for their marriage that would last the rest of Ruth’s life. They recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

She will be remembered by her extraordinary accomplishments as a wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and sister. The unconditional love, commitment and loyalty Ruth shared with her husband are the legacy she leaves to her three children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and sister. Ruth may have passed away on Sept. 9 but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who love her.

Ruth’s surviving family and biggest fans are: husband and soulmate Victor Cassara, daughter Carolyn Cassara Miller, son Victor Cassara Jr., son and wife Vincent and Lori Cassara, daughter in-law Lisa Stevenson, grandson and wife Duane and Yesenia Miller, grandson and wife Brian and Amy Miller, granddaughter and husband Elizabeth and Jesse Zavala, grandson Vincent Cassara Jr., granddaughter and fiancé Maile Cassara and Kevin Dwyer, granddaughter Amanda Cassara, great-grandchildren Paris and Luna Miller and sister Cheryl Niehaus.

Ruth will be buried at San Fernando Mission Catholic Cemetery near her firstborn son. Both are looking forward to spending time together.
