Deputies Arrest La Canada Flintridge Burglary Suspects After Pursuit

Today, Sunday, Crescenta Valley Deputy Afsharian initiated a pursuit of a reckless vehicle on the southbound 2 freeway near Mountain Avenue.  The suspect vehicle was traveling at approximately 100 miles per hour.  Deputies cancelled their pursuit due to the high speeds.  Within seconds of the terminated pursuit, Deputy Afsharian located a traffic collision on the off ramp at Mountain Avenue.  He saw the suspect’s vehicle was involved in the collision and set up a perimeter.  Three suspects were detained and a large amount of jewelry was discovered.  Deputies investigated further and learned a residential burglary had occurred on the 800 block of Lynnhaven Lane in La Canada Flintridge.  The owners came out and identified the jewelry as belonging to them.  The three suspects were booked at Crescenta Valley Station for burglary.
