Saturday, October 12th, 9-11am – Rosemont Preserve Habitat Restoration
Please join us on Saturday, October 12th, from 9:00am until 11:00am to help protect the natural habitat at the Rosemont Preserve. We will be preparing our trails for upcoming field trips, removing invasive plants and watering our newly planted milkweed.
Wear sturdy shoes, comfortable clothes and garden gloves (long pants and sleeves are recommended.) Tools will be available.
The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park. If you have mobility issues that require a closer parking spot, pleas contact us. Please wear sturdy shoes to walk the trail.

Community Meeting with GPD on Traffic Issues
The Glendale Police Department is holding a Community Conversation to discuss traffic issues, as well as burglary and investigations, on Wednesday, October 16, at 7 p.m., at Brand Library Auditorium, located in Brand Park, 1601 W. Mountain Street.
Open to all residents, this special town hall is being presented by Northwest Glendale Homeowners Association in response to complaints about increased traffic and alleged rude drivers. It’s for everyone frustrated with traffic issues.
Sunday, October 20th, 9-11am – Rosemont Preserve Open Gate Morning
Join us for the 2nd of our monthly “Open Gates” at the Rosemont Preserve on Sunday morning, October 20th, from 9:00-11:00am. This is a chance to visit the Preserve and wander the trail at your own pace, enjoying the tranquil setting, the wildlife and the natural beauty. Photographers, bring your camera to capture the early morning light and citizen scientists, bring your iNaturalist app to add your wildlife sightings!
The gate will be open from 9:00-11:00am, and Friends of the Rosemont Preserve Committee members will be available to answer questions and show you this community resource which we have all worked so hard to protect and steward.

Saturday, October 26th, 8-10am – Birding at Rosemont Preserve with Mark Hunter of Pasadena Audubon
Join us on Saturday, October 26th from 8-10am to take a bird tour of the Rosemont Preserve. Mark Hunter from Pasadena Audubon will lead a hike through the Preserve to point out the birds living there and tell us which species to be looking out for as we enjoy the Preserve’s beautiful open space.
