2300 block of Pickens Canyon Road in La Crescenta, while residents, husband and wife, slept in their bed they heard the sound of glass breaking. The husband ran immediately in the direction of the sound. He entered the hallway of his home and was confronted by a man wearing a grey sweatshirt, black pants, white shoes and a black ski mask. He yelled at the man and told him to get out of his home. The man was startled and ran out of the residence.
The incident occurred between 10:50 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Sept. 8
500 block of Meadow View Drive in La Cañada, a resident returned home and found the glass sliding door had been shattered. He found several rooms in his home had been ransacked but did not notice anything missing.
The incident occurred between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Sept. 6
3100 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a resident returned home to find several hand prints on a window and a plastic table moved from a grass area to beneath a window. The resident also noticed the rear yard tool shed door had been opened. No one gained entrance to the home.
The attempted burglary occurred between 10 a.m. and
1 p.m.
400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an Apple iPad, passport and other items were stolen from a vehicle between 6:10 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
3900 block of Hampstead Road in La Cañada, a man left his home and made certain the front electric gate was closed behind him as he drove his vehicle out of the driveway. When he returned home he discovered a bathroom window had been smashed. He did not find any items missing.
The incident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Sept. 4
3000 block of Meadow Grove Street in La Crescenta, a resident returned to find a bedroom window shattered and several rooms had been ransacked. Several pieces of jewelry, purses and a pair of shoes were missing.
The residential burglary occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m.
Sept. 2
4200 block of Beresford Way in La Cañada, residents discovered a bedroom window had been shattered at her home. Nothing was reported missing between Sept. 2-6.
Aug. 27
2500 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a package was stolen from the front of a home between 12:50 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Aug. 25
2900 block of Fairmont Avenue in La Crescenta, a man returned from a vacation to find items in his dresser drawer appeared to be shuffled through and several pieces of jewelry missing between Aug. 25 and Sept. 3.
