July 31

300 block of St. Katherine Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to the area regarding a burglary that had just occurred. There was aerial support searching for a potential suspect/s but none were found. An investigation found a broken sliding glass door and rooms ransacked. Nothing has yet to be reported stolen.

The burglary occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

 

4200 block of Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada Flintridge, several gardening tools and personal items were stolen from a vehicle between 4 p.m. and 4:10 p.m.

 

4900 block of Vineta Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to an alarm activation at a home. Upon arriving they found the rear doors of the residence were unlocked and several rooms had been ransacked. The resident reported he had locked his residence and left the area. He later received a notification from his alarm company via motion sensors. He attempted to review his home surveillance footage and found the cameras had been shut off. Several items were stolen including weapons.

The burglary occurred at 8:47 p.m.

 

July 26

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported putting her backpack, which contained her cellphone, in the lower tray of the shopping cart. As she was shopping at the store she left the cart to look at items. She returned to the cart and realized her cellphone was missing. The victim said she noticed a woman, described as Caucasian and about 45 to 50 years old, standing near her cart when she briefly walked away. The woman reportedly had dark hair and at the time was wearing an orange T-shirt and light colored shorts.

The incident happened between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

 

1000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported parking in a lower garage at her business. She locked her vehicle’s doors when she left. When she returned she found the front and rear driver side windows were smashed and her purse, which was in the car, was stolen along with personal items between 9 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.

 

2100 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a woman reported that as she stepped outside her home she noticed a light blue colored Honda Civic parked on the street without tires or rims. The vehicle was placed on plastic boxes. Surveillance footage revealed a dark colored sedan traveling eastbound at a slow rate of speed on Waltonia Drive. It stopped mid-block and conducted a U-turn. The vehicle then drove westbound on Waltonia Drive and out of view. Another video revealed the same vehicle returning and stopping next to the Honda Civic.

The incident occurred at 3:15 a.m.

 

July 24

2800 block of Fairmont Avenue in La Crescenta, a woman who was watching over her parents’ home reported that she returned to the house to find the garage door open. She found the entire garage had been ransacked. She reported this was the third time in a week that someone had entered the residence. One of the times a neighbor called her and said she noticed a back window open. The woman returned to the house and found that nothing was missing and no rooms had been ransacked. The second time she found the door on the shed was open and the handle had been broken. She did not notice if the interior was ransacked and was unsure if anything was missing.

The incidents occurred between July 24 and Aug. 1.
