Glendale police are looking for a suspect that shot and killed a man, in his 30s,  near E. Palmer Avenue and Boynton Street.

Neighbors called into the Glendale Police Department stating they heard three to four shots fired in the area at 9:12 p.m. tonight (Monday).

Two men were visiting family in the area, said Sgt. Dan Suttles, GPD spokesman.

The two men were  walking a dog on the sidewalk on Boynton Street.

They were walking northbound when someone approached them from behind and started shooting,Suttles said.

One of the men was struck and killed; the other man was not injured. The suspect then ran southbound.

Although the investigation is ongoing it does not appear this was gang related, Suttles added.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s. At the time he was wearing dark clothing and glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact GPD at (818) 548-4911.
