July 5
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, several stained glass window panes were broken in two areas of the First Church of Christ Science between July 3-5.

2600 Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a witness reported seeing a man place several cans of Red Bull energy drink into a hand basket at Ralphs Market and walk out of the store without attempting to pay. Another witness reported seeing the man get into a black, four-door Scion with no plates. The car was parked in the farthest parking spot, closest to Foothill Boulevard and Raymond Avenue. The man was described as white, 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, and 30-to-39 years old with a medium length full beard and balding. At the time, the suspect was wearing a short sleeve dark colored shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. The incident occurred at 12:14 p.m.

July 3
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a witness reported that two men exited the Ralphs Market with a shopping cart with cases of Red Bull energy drink and water without attempting to pay.
According to the sheriff’s report, a witness saw two men enter the store with a shopping cart. They walked to the front of the Red Bull display, selected 10 cases and placed them into the cart. They also took a case of water and exited the store. One suspect is described as white, 5’5”, 130 pounds and 25-to- 30 years old. The second suspect is described as white, 6’, 170 pounds, and 25-to-30 years old. The men reportedly exited the store with the cart, placed the cases into a black Scion and left.
The incident occurred at 6:05 p.m.

June 29
Oakwood Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Sequoia that was parked on the street in front of a business from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

June 27
Angeles Crest Highway and Bay Tree Road in La Cañada, a 56-year-old La Cañada man was arrested for driving under the influence. A deputy reportedly witnessed the man speeding on Angeles Crest Highway. The driver crossed the double yellow line onto Briartree Drive. A few minutes later he came to a stop sign on Briartree Drive but did not stop. He instead drove north on Angeles Crest Highway, allegedly nearly colliding into a vehicle. The deputy reported that another vehicle had to swerve out of the driver’s way to avoid a collision.
The man turned onto Bay Tree Road and finally came to a stop on Summit Crest Drive.
As the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver attempted to exit. He was asked to get back into his car and roll down the window. The deputy noticed the man had slurred speech, blood shot eyes and he could smell alcohol on his person. The deputy reportedly asked him where he had been drinking and he replied South Pasadena.
The deputy then asked him if he had been arrested for DUI in the past; he said yes. He was asked when the last time he had been arrested, the man said “five miles.” He was arrested for driving under the influence at 6 p.m.
