GAMC Selected For Three Women’s Choice Awards®

Glendale Adventist Medical Center (GAMC) was recently honored with three Women’s Choice Awards for patient safety, heart care, and orthopedics.

The Women’s Choice Award is the only distinction that identifies the nation’s best health care institutions based on robust criteria that considers patient satisfaction, clinical excellence and women’s highest preferences when it comes to treatment and a quality hospital experience.

“We are honored to receive the Women’s Choice Award for patient safety, heart care and orthopedics,” said Kevin A. Roberts, president/CEO of GAMC. “Our entire staff including our physicians, nurses, associates and administration have worked hard to keep patient care and outcomes as the focus of our success. We value human dignity and individuality of our patients and their families, excellence in clinical care, medical technology and service quality.”

GAMC was one of the 310 America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety that were identified based on having a low incidence of problems arising from surgical errors and infections after reporting their frequency to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). GAMC was also awarded America’s Best Hospitals for Heart Care by qualifying in the top 25% of hospitals across the nation that offer a minimum number of cardiac and/or vascular services.

Additionally, GAMC qualified for the America’s Best Hospitals for Orthopedics based on an in-depth proprietary scoring process.
