“The suspect’s vehicle struck the Good Samaritan’s vehicle [as the suspect fled],” said Rosson.
The man then apparently continued up the offramp and returned to the 210 freeway traveling eastbound then southbound on the Glendale (2) freeway.
In its investigation the Glendale Police Department noticed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car.
“They noticed the vehicle had stopped on the freeway near Mountain Street [exit],” Rosson said.
The police found that the suspect with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital.
“His condition [as of Wednesday] is critical but stable. We don’t know his medical prognosis,” Rosson added.
The suspect and the victim were first cousins.
