Taste of Downtown Glendale
The annual Taste of Downtown Glendale takes place on May 11. Food (tastes from 40 vendors), fun and entertainment are available for one price of $30 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Proceeds support Glendale Healthy Kids.
GAR services will be providing A Taste of Wine for an additional $15 wristband at 2 locations – on North Brand and in the Americana at Brand. All these proceeds benefit GAR.

Wildlife Safety Forum
A Wildlife Public Safety Forum is being held on Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Assemblymember Anthony Portantino and California department of Fish and Game, the forum is being held at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. On the agenda will be information on dealing with local wildlife including coyotes and bears.

Town Hall on Foster Care Issues
Assemblymember Anthony Portantino and All Saints Church Foster Care Project are presenting a town hall on “Breaking Barriers to Higher Education” on Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast will be served at 10:30 a.m.
This education town hall is aimed at current and former foster youth who are interested in learning more about the path to college and sharing their experiences. Information will include how to apply, where to apply, wondering how to pay for college and how to fill out a financial aid form.

Golf Fundraiser
Montrose Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce is holding its 15th Annual Golf Fundraiser on May 19. The fundraiser is the means by which the MVCCC raises funds to sponsor college scholarships to students from Clark Magnet High School and Crescenta Valley High School. There is still room for additional players and sponsorships.
Donations for raffle prizes or silent auction items are also appreciated. The MVCCC is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
