The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the County of Los Angeles and CORE (Community Organized Response Effort), is providing free COVID-19 testing to LA County residents. The tests provided through this program are mouth swab tests that do not require assistance. At this time, testing is limited in LA to people with symptoms, such as fever, cough and shortness of breath.

Same or next day testing appointments are prioritized for individuals over 65, and individuals who have underlying chronic health conditions.

Tests are also prioritized for first responders, critical government workers, grocery workers and health care professionals. Those individuals should inquire at their affiliated hospital or medical center or employer for information about how to schedule a test.
