A fence with green tarp wrapped around it has been placed around the former location of The Mix at 2612 Honolulu Ave. indicating work may be about to begin on the already approved 28-multi-family unit.

A demolition permit was issued in February prior to the Safer at Home protocol, said Phillip Lanzafame, director of community development for the City of Glendale.

Due to the new guidelines for Safer at Home, construction can continue as long as workers follow social distancing standards.

The project was approved in August 2016. The proposal was submitted by developer Art Simonian and Metro Investments and included four lots that will feature the construction of a 28-multi-family unit.
