900 block of Berkshire Avenue in La Cañada, a glass window was shattered and a watch was stolen from a home between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

 

 

March 11

4500 block of Crown Avenue in La Cañada, a laptop was stolen from a backpack left at a gym between 1:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

 

 

March 8

2500 block of Mary Street in Montrose, a resident sold his motorcycle to a person who wrote a check for the purchase. When the seller went to the bank he found the check had insufficient funds overnight.

 

 

March 7

500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported that a wallet was stolen from a shopping bag that was on the top of her shopping cart. She realized the wallet was stolen and immediately called her bank and credit cards to cancel them. She learned that a purchase had been made in Glendale that she had not authorized.

The theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.

 

 

March 6

2500 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle overnight.

 

2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, an employee reported that she had retrieved the contents from the cash deposit safe, which is located inside the bank. She retrieved nine bags containing deposits that included U.S. currency and a four-inch “Tomcat” glue board used for trapping mice. The glue board had apparently been used to steal deposits from the deposit box between March 6 and March 9.

 

 

March 3

2200 block of Luana Lane in Montrose, deputies responded to an audible alarm call to the location. They found the bedroom glass door was shattered and a safe had been stolen.

The alarm was activated at 11:30 a.m.

 

1100 block of Lavender Lane in La Cañada, a resident reported that when he was at home he heard his dog barking downstairs. He investigated and found his dog barking at the windows in his living room. He did not see anyone but did notice a white vehicle parked on his street. He then witnessed two males running out from his side yard. The men got into the vehicle and drove away.

The incident occurred at 11 a.m.

 

4600 block of La Cañada Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman returned home to find her residence had been ransacked. It appeared cash had been stolen.

The burglary occurred between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

 

 

March 2

400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man reported that as he was in the parking lot at the location a person described as a black male, about 6’ tall, appeared to be selling some kind of brochure. The suspect asked the man if he wanted to buy a brochure. When the man refused the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the man. The man stepped away from the suspect, who turned and ran away from the area.

The incident occurred at 1 p.m.

 

 

Feb. 28

3000 Paraiso Way in La Crescenta, two packages were stolen from the front of a home at 3:05 p.m.

 

 

Feb. 25

2900 Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a student reported that his AirPods had been stolen from the front pocket of his backpack. He could not fit his backpack in the gym locker and had to leave it on the floor next to his locker. He went to class and when he returned found that his AirPods had been stolen.

The theft occurred between 11:25 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
