Foothill Boulevard is closed to eastbound traffic from Rosemont Avenue to Briggs Avenue due to problem with a Southern California Edison underground vault.

An incident occurred at 8:59 a.m. SCE crews are responding to evaluate the problem.

The damage to the vault caused a power outage to several customers. At one point 2200 customers were affected from Francis Avenue to Teasley Street between Rosemont and Briggs avenues.   Power was restored to all but four of those customers within an hour.

Another 749 customers from Mary to Cross streets and Rosemont to Briggs avenues have also been affected by the power outage. Their power is not set to be restored until 4 p.m. today.

Traffic signals along Foothill Boulevard have also been affected.
