A 24-year-old woman who was apparently lost on the Rim of the Valley Trail on Thursday night was found safe after a search was conducted by Glendale searchers assisted by Montrose and Altadena Search & Rescue teams.

Searchers responded to a call for after the mother reported that she hadn’t heard from her daughter, who was with her dog, since she received a text from her around 2:40 p.m. that said she was lost on the trail and had limited cellphone power.

After searching for some time, the woman was discovered safe and is in the process of being transported back to where her mother was waiting at Deukmejian Wilderness Park.
