The Assistance League of Glendale was at Monte Vista school with their Authors and Illustrators program this week. Many members from ALG accompanied the authors and illustrators as they delighted the students in each classroom with their stories. One author, Caroline Arnold, has had a love of animals ever since she first went on a camping trip. Her newest book, her 170th, is about butterflies. Each author encouraged the students to write stories of their own. Besides donating the books to teachers, the school library receives a check for $1500 to buy books of their choice.
