The children – about 125 – plus staff and around 40 parents of La Crescenta Presbyterian Church Center for Children took to the streets walking around the 2800 and 2900 blocks of Montrose Avenue showing off their patriotism. After the trek, the group gathered for a hot barbecue in the Center’s courtyard as patriotic tunes were played from the bell tower.
A local trash collector and tow truck acknowledged the cheer for America by honking their air horns – a thrill for the kids.
