The running of the Y of the Foothills Tribes Pinewood Derby took place on March 9.  This program is for dads and their children in kindergarten through fourth grade. The annual derby has been held for over 40 years.

More than 100 children raced their cars at the “Crescenta-Cañada Y Raceway,” cheered on by parents and family. The derby is one of the more popular events sponsored by the Tribes program that include the annual pancake breakfast,

Camp Fox weekend and pumpkin carve. This year also saw the introduction of the official Tribes canoe in the Montrose Christmas Parade.
