Valley View Elementary students enjoyed cultural celebration at the Lunar New Year assembly on Feb. 11, welcoming in the Year of the Monkey. The assembly included a tae kwon do demonstration, which included Valley View students, and a Korean traditional string instrument musical program with a traditional Korean 12-string musical instrument.

Students enjoyed seeing cultural costumes worn by the members of Valley View’s Korean Parent Association. Teachers were treated to a delicious lunch served by the KPA. The assembly and the luncheon were organized by the school’s KPA.
