The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce is holding its first Artwalk of the year on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Watch artists at work while strolling along the tree lined streets of the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue. All artwork is original to the artist. There will be musicians playing and kids’ art!
While you are in Montrose you can have lunch at one of the many restaurants in town, have an ice cream cone and browse all the wonderful shops on Honolulu Avenue.  It’s a great family outing!
Also don’t forget that Thursday, May 19 is our scholarship fundraiser and Support the Verdugo Hills Golf Course Par 3 Masters Golf Tournament! We need your help to support our local high school students and our campaign to help keep the Verdugo Hills Golf Course a vital part of our community.
We would love for the residents and businesses to come out and participate in this event. There are various sponsorship packages available as well as tee signs for only $100! We welcome donations from businesses for our auction and raffle. This is a great way to market your business and help a local cause. You can also just come out and enjoy a round of golf!
Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., putting challenge 11 a.m., lunch from 11:30 am to 1 p.m. and shotgun start at 1 p.m. We will have a silent auction and live auction, raffle prizes and finish with our scholarship presentation to the scholarship awardees. If you would like to golf in the event or help sponsor the event, contact me at the chamber office. We accept all forms of payments.
