14th Annual Hometown Country Fair

Hello, CV Weekly readers! The Crescenta Valley Chamber is proud to announce our 14th Annual Hometown Country Fair. As in the past, this year the fair will be held at Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park at 3901 Dunsmore Ave. on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will have all the fun and excitement of past fairs with a few new additions. This year, instead of food trucks the chamber will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers from the kitchen area located inside the park. We will offer, for purchase, a meal deal including a burger or hot dog with chips and a drink. The Chamber will give back one dollar per meal deal purchased by students to the school of their choice. We’re also bringing back food vendors as we’ve had in the past. This year you can enjoy roasted corn, a baked potato and even California rolls as you stroll through the aisles of craft vendors. We will have karaoke just like last year.  For those interested, please send the chamber your song choices in advance so we can have them ready for you.

Entry forms will be available at the chamber booth the day of the fair for our popular dog parade. Our annual pie-eating contest will also be held on Saturday afternoon and is open to anyone 18 years old and under. Also for kids, we will have our inflatables and bouncers in addition to a rock climbing wall. We have a full day of entertainment planned on the mobile stage that the County of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation so graciously provides every year. Just to give you an idea, we will have the CVHS Charismatics singing the national anthem and that’s just the beginning!

The car show is back again this year, highlighting classic and vintage cars, and is sponsored by Valley Automotive. We owe a big thank you to Bruce Bartels for working tirelessly to bring together a group of 10 local auto shops to form Valley Automotive Group. In addition to Valley Automotive, we owe a huge thank you to all of our sponsors including Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office, J’s Maids, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Bob Smith Toyota and your very own CV Weekly to name a few.

This year we are proud to include Tesla as a sponsor as well. In addition to their booth at the fair, Tesla will be on-site offering immediate test drives at the bottom of New York Avenue. They plan to take guests 21 and over on a local route for about 20-30 minutes to highlight some of the most popular and outstanding features of their vehicles. Those who test drive at the fair will be entered in a raffle to win a weekend with either the Model X or S. The winner will be drawn in-store at a later date and will be notified.

As always, entry to the fair is free.
