NEWS FROM THE MONTROSE-VERDUGO CITY CHAMBER

Marching Together into Spring

With the recent winter coronavirus surge subsiding and mask mandates changing, we are starting to feel really united and especially optimistic. At the beginning of the year we at the Chamber decided to pause having in-person events but we now feel confident to once again host in-person events. Please be sure to check out our upcoming ribbon cutting for new MVCC member State Farm Insurance Agent Sati Soulakhian. Our spring mixer is in April at the outdoor pool area of the Crescenta Valley Family YMCA, 3931 Lowell Ave.

We also have a few annual events returning this year. Help us celebrate the return of the MVCC “Egg My Home.” On Easter morning candy-filled eggs will be delivered to the homes of those who placed orders; order yours as soon as possible. The Glendale Police Dept. has partnered with us again to help us deliver special Easter deliveries to local families who’ve experienced some hardship in the past year.

Whether you’re surprising your kids, grandkids, neighbors or colleagues or sponsoring one of these families … it’s sure to bring great Easter joy to everyone (link to purchase plus more information found below).

Lastly, we have our previously postponed 7th Annual Montrose Craft Beer Fest scheduled this year on July 24. Come sip some craft beer from local breweries and sample small bites from local restaurants plus enjoy the fare of food vendors while strolling the 2200 block of Honolulu Avenue.

Let’s keep this positive momentum going and continue to support our local businesses! We can’t say it enough … when we work together … we truly are better.
