Come On Home to the Annual Fair

It’s 2015 and we’re already thinking about the Chamber’s biggest event of the year!  The Hometown Country Fair will be held on Saturday, April 25. It’s a huge event, attracting thousands of people, and fills Crescenta Valley Park with rides, live music, games, handmade products, animals, vintage cars, pie-eating contests, dog parade, food and entertainment of every kind.

Would your business like to be a part of it all? Become a sponsor!

In years past, organizations and individuals such as Montrose Travel, Bob Smith Toyota, La Cañada Eye Care and State Farm Insurance Agent Chris Aristo have sponsored the Hometown Country Fair by donating $125, $500 or even $2500. As a sponsor, your business will be recognized at the fair and in advertising preceding the event. The earlier you get your sponsorship check in, the more advertising you’ll benefit from! See the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce website to learn more about sponsorship opportunities or call or email the office to find out more.

In other news, the 90th annual installation of CV Chamber officers and directors will take place Thursday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. We will introduce new officers and honor outgoing ones. Recipients of the Mary Pinola/CV Chamber Education Endowment grants will also be honored and funds will be distributed. The Education Endowment Fund, originally conceived by former CV Chamber Honorary Mayor Mary Pinola, strives to enrich the lives of Crescenta Valley residents by supporting creative, innovative and exceptional education programs and leadership.

This year’s grant recipients are Crescenta Cañada Rotary Foundation, Crescenta Valley Instrumental Music Foundation, CV Alliance, The Fire House, Glendale Healthy Kids, Prom Plus, Rose Bowl Aquatics Center, YMCA of the Foothills and programs at Clark Magnet High School, Dunsmore Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Mountain Avenue Elementary, Rosemont Middle School and St. James/Holy Redeemer. Organizations interested in applying for next year’s grants will find the application online in the fall 2015.

Tickets to the installation luncheon are $35 and can be purchased on the Chamber website. All are invited. Please place your reservation by Jan. 8.
