Xena Stanton of Sunland will attend Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, as a member of the Class of 2025. Stanton, who will be majoring in mechanical engineering, will begin studying at Clarkson in the fall.

Maia Tivony, a native of Glendale has been named to Emerson College’s dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester. Tivony is majoring in stage and production management and is a member of the Class of 2022. The requirement to make Emerson’s dean’s list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Emerson College has 3,700 undergraduates and 1,400 graduate students from across the United States and 50 countries. Supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a renowned faculty, students participate in more than 90 student organizations and performance groups.

Wheaton College student Sarah Lee of La Crescenta was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester.

To earn dean’s list honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Bonnie Kim of La Crescenta was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2021 spring semester. Kim is in the physician assistant program.

Rochester Institute of Technology, founded in 1829 in New York, enrolls about 18,600 students in more than 200 career-oriented and professional programs, making it among the largest private universities in the U.S.

Aidan Phillips of La Canada Flintridge has been placed on the Gettysburg College dean’s honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2021 semester.

Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester’s work are placed on the College’s dean’s honor list.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition that includes Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate and other distinguished scholars among its alumni. The college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students and is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.

Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester. Among those students are: Justin Kouyoumdjian of La Cañada Flintridge, class of 2021; Isaac Shure of Glendale, class of 2021; Rucha Kadam of La Cañada Flintridge, class of 2023 and Caroline Nowak of La Canñda Flintridge, class of 2023.

Dean’s list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Jason Rowton of La Cañada was named to Fort Lewis College’s dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester. Rowton’s major is economics.

To be eligible for inclusion on the dean’s list, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.6 or better in no fewer than 15 credit hours of graded college-level work and have completed all work for which they are registered by the end of the semester.

Rowton graduated from Fort Lewis College in May summa cum laude.

Marie Pernecky of La Cañada Flintridge was among more than 4,000 students from Miami University who received degrees during the in-person spring commencement May 14-16.

Pernecky graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in strategic communication, entrepreneurship.
