Lebanon Valley College has recognized 161 of its first-semester freshman and transfer students for making an impact on the campus as a new student. The Celebration of Student Success reception, held Feb. 17 in the Neidig-Garber Science Center atrium, honored the students’ achievement.

Freshman Felicity D. Perez of Sunland was recognized. The honorees were nominated by faculty and administrators for standing out in the classroom, in their work with classmates, as student leaders, in on-campus employment, or in extracurricular activities such as athletics, performance, and volunteerism.

At Clark University in Worcester, Mass., Mae A. Colcord of La Crescenta has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean’s List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2010 semester.

To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3 (all A+).

Sophomore Daniel Gordon and first-year student Natalie Sherif, both of La Cañada, have been named to the Deans’ Honor List at Gettysburg College for outstanding academic achievement in fall 2010. Gettysburg College students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester’s work are placed on the College’s Deans’ Honor List.

Berklee College of Music announced that Stewart Forgey of La Cañada has earned placement on the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2010 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

The Berklee curriculum focuses on practical career preparation for today’s music industry. Four-year degrees are offered in performance, jazz composition, music production & engineering, film scoring, music business/management, composition, music synthesis, contemporary writing & production, music education, songwriting, music therapy, and professional music.
