Korean Martyrs Remembered at St. Bede
Korean martyrs will be remembered at a special vigil Mass on Saturday, Sept. 10 at St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church. The Mass will be followed by music and dance and a special martial arts demonstration.
The organizing group will provide Korean food to tempt the palates of those who attend this special celebration. The parish and the Korean Martyrs Spirituality Center of Southern California sponsor the event.
The Mass begins at 5:30 p.m. at the church. Questions should be directed to Sookie Mathews at (818) 949-7300 or Rev. Mr. Augie Won, deacon at St. Bede.

Special Service in Remembrance of 9-11 Announced
This Sept. 11 will be the 10th anniversary of 9-11 in which the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon were attacked.
First Baptist Church at La Crescenta will be hosting a special 9-11 service in remembrance of that day. An invitation is extended to the community to join the congregation as it commemorates the 10th anniversary of 9-11 along with honoring community fire fighters and police officers for their courage and protection during the Station Fire.
Pastor Flanders’ message on this special Sunday will be “Never Forget … Hope.”
The community is invited on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 10:45 a.m. at 4441 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta.

Commemorative Service Held at LCCRS
Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta is hosting a 9-11 Commemorative Service Sunday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. featuring a World Healing Meditation and Candle Lighting. All are welcome.
