Forgiveness on Agenda
August forgiveness classes, facilitated by Rev. Beverly Craig and Gary Bates, RScP, will be offered at Center for Spiritual Living-La Crescenta. The last class is Aug. 27 – Forgiving World Events.

“Radical Forgiveness” by Colin Tipping is the textbook for the classes. A love donation will be collected.

Classic Car Nights at Lake Avenue Church
Lake Avenue Church will hold its second free Classic Car Night on Aug. 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in its west parking lot. Local car clubs will showcase classic and antique cars and there will be hamburgers and hot dogs cooked to order, music and a raffle. Admission is free and donations will be accepted for the food.

The Classic Car Night will also feature a chili cook-off. Free to chili eaters, but $15 to enter a chili for competition.

Lake Avenue Church is located at 393 N. Lake Avenue in Pasadena, at the corner of Lake Avenue and the 210 Freeway.

Tuesday Table Talk
On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Bethel Church is showing the film “Heaven is for Real.”

This is a true story of the 4-year old son of a small-town Nebraska pastor who, during emergency surgery, slips from consciousness and enters heaven. When he awakes, he recounts his experiences on the other side. Rated PG.

The video will be preceded by a potluck supper. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m., the video presentation starts at 7:15 p.m., followed by dessert and discussion at about 8:45 p.m. Free.

Choral Evensong at St. Luke’s Anglican
The public is invited to attend a contemplative evening of worship in song, led by the choir of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, on Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. This richly historical and moving service will feature the music of Mozart and Rutter, as well as traditional chants and responses.
