First Baptist Church at La Crescenta readies for 65th anniversary

First Baptist Church at La Crescenta invites present and past church members and the public to celebrate its 65th anniversary on Aug. 21 and Aug. 22. The Saturday schedule includes a picnic and games at Crescenta Valley Park; reunion choir rehearsal, and dinner in the Fellowship Hall, highlighting Baptist General Conference President Jerry Sheveland as speaker. An 8 a.m. contemporary service with praise and sharing, followed by a 10:45 a.m. church service are on Sunday.

Get to know the “Touchdown” church

Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. for a time to focus on telling the story of Lutheran Church in the Foothills (LCIF), to focus on inviting people to our church, and to hear/see an excellent video by Rev. Stephen G. Marsh. The video is of a presentation by Rev. Marsh that was made at the Southwest California Synod Assembly in June. There will also be ice cream with a variety of toppings!
