Throughout the Crescenta Valley, local churches are preparing for Vacation Bible School. VBS typically lasts for one week and gives kids the opportunity to focus on that church’s VBS theme.

According to its website, every year, La Crescenta Presbyterian Church hosts about 300 children at its Vacation Bible School. This year’s program, Deep Sea Discovery, runs July 11-15 from 9 a.m. to noon and includes daily music, dramas, crafts, storytelling, water games and more. Children from ages 4 through sixth grade have a great time learning about their Savior in both small and large groups. The cost is $30 for the week and scholarships are available. Sign up for VBS in the church office Monday through Friday or pick up a registration form on Sunday mornings. La Crescenta Presbyterian Church is located at 2902 Montrose Ave. in La Crescenta. For more information, call (818) 249-6137.
Exploration Norway is the theme of this year’s Vacation Bible School at Lutheran Church of the Foothills, 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada. According to its website, Lisa Jenks, Children’s Ministry coordinator, is gearing up for the program that is from July 18-22. Counselors, assistant counselors, station assistants, etc. are also needed for the week-long VBS that will end with a big celebration on Friday with lots of games, food, etc. Call the church at (818) 790-1951 for more information.
