Holy Week Events  
Bethel Church invites the community to participate in its Holy Week events commemorating the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Palm Sunday worship is at 10 a.m. on April 1; showing of the film “The Passion of the Christ” takes place on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 p.m., preceded by a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m.; Good Friday communion service on Friday, April 6 at 8 p.m.; and Easter Sunday April 8 sunrise service at 7 a.m. followed by a free fellowship breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and celebration worship at 10 a.m.

Alpha Dinner to be Held
Do you have questions about life? Questions like, “Is there a God? Why am I here? Where am I going? Is there more to life?”

All are invited to attend the Alpha Dinner, hosted by St. Luke’s Anglican Church, on Wednesday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA. The dinner is the kick-off to the Alpha Course (Alpha.org), and offers an opportunity, while eating tasty food, to explore whether or not to participate in the 10-week course, which begins on April 11 at 5022 Hook Tree Road in La Cañada.

Meditation Classes Offered
Kadampa Meditation Center California is a non-profit organization that offers meditation classes to help people find inner peace and happiness. Currently, the center is offering a seven week course titled “Introduction to Buddhist Meditation: Happiness From a Different Source” in La Cañada and Glendale.

Friday mediation classes take place at the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA, 1930 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.

Friday classes are from noon to 1 p.m. on March 23 and March 30.

Sunday classes are from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Brand Park – Whispering Pine Teahouse, 1601 W. Mountain St. in Glendale.

Sunday class is March 25.
