Many Foothill homeowners are eager to indulge in the holiday spirit – whatever the holiday. Halloween found several homes (even entire neighborhoods) transformed for expected ghouls and goblins.
But the granddaddy of all decorating seasons is Christmas. Whether conservative in their holiday displays or downright flamboyant, local families have dedicated time (and money) to presenting their vision of the holiday spirit. These efforts have not gone unnoticed. Tonight, Thursday, the Crescenta Valley Youth Town Council will be awarding its Christmas Spirit Award during the regular meeting of the CV Town Council that begins at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd.
Though awards are nice, it’s the spirit of the season that motivates most decorators.
There are several homes in the La Crescenta area that deserve a drive-by during the holiday season. We’ve listed a few here but welcome the chance to showcase others that our readers feel should be shared. Send your suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll include them in the Dec. 24 issue of CV Weekly.
Some places to visit include are the 3100 block of Paraiso Way, the 2800 block of Alabama, the 3100 block of Orange Avenue, the 3900 block of Ramsdell Avenue and the 2400 and 2500 blocks of Prospect Avenue.
