On Monday at about 4 p.m. witnesses contacted the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station informing them of a person who had jumped from the Ocean View Boulevard overpass onto the emergency lane of the westbound Foothill (210) freeway.
When deputies arrived, they discovered an injured man on the freeway. There were several witnesses who saw the man jump.
The man, who is described only as white in his 50s, was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he passed away just after midnight on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has not released the name or any information pending family notification.
