First responders and CV FSC honored

On Friday, Nov. 20, the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station, Los Angeles County Fire Department, and Crescenta Valley Fire Safe Council were honored at Monte Vista Elementary School. Five hundred students, teachers and  parents were present to honor these organizations for their work during the Station Fire earlier this year. Each organization was presented with a certificate during the school’s monthly flag ceremony. Participants pictured include (from left): Tracey Black, PTA VP; Stephanie Shintaku, PTA president; L.A. County Fire Department represented by Station 63 firefighters including Captain Dave Inman, L.A. County Sheriff’s Department represented by  Deputy Jorge Valdivia, and the Crescenta Valley Fire Safe Council represented by Roger Young, president .
