Residents When Seeing Suspicious Activity: Call Law Enforcement

By Mary O’KEEFE

With a rise in the residential burglaries in La Crescenta and La Cañada Flintridge law enforcement is once again reminding residents to call the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station if they see any suspicious activity.

“If you see anyone suspicious, call in a timely manner,” said Capt. David Silversparre.

This month a woman working at a home in La Cañada noticed a suspicious man in the neighbor’s backyard. She contacted the neighbor, who drove home to find that his home had been burglarized.

The time between the sightings of a suspicious man, to the neighbor driving home was about an hour and a half.

Sgt. Ray Harley said it was important not only to call sheriffs with concerns of suspicious activities or individuals but also to call immediately when the activity is witnessed.

“If you see a suspicious person, call us. Often times it pans out to be nothing but in recent weeks suspects were seen by different people,” Silversparre said.
