Cars, Food, Entertainment at Toyota
Bob Smith Toyota, together with the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and Early Rodders Car Club, invites the community to join them as they celebrate 20 years in La Crescenta. Cruise (by foot) through the classic car and hot rod displays, enjoy live entertainment and relish free hot dogs and soda.

This free event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3322 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. For additional information, call (818) 395-4312 or contact the chamber office at (818) 248-4957.

Armenian Korean Festival
The second annual Armenian Korean Cultural Festival takes place on Sunday, Oct. 13 on the campus of Crescenta Valley High School. The joint festival is a celebration of community, culture and heritage. There will be Korean and Armenian barbecue and other food, dance groups, K-pop groups, traditional music and much more.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 2900 Community Ave. in La Crescenta. There is no fee to attend.

Booksale At Library
The Friends of La Crescenta Library will be holding their October booksale in the meeting room at the La Crescenta Library. A “members only” presale takes place today, Thursday, Oct. 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the public is invited on Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Find a great deal and support the library at the same time!

Docent Opps at Rosemont Preserve
The next docent volunteer training for the Rosemont Preserve will be held at the preserve on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This training will prepare volunteers to work with third grade classes learning about native plants and plant adaptations. All materials and information will be provided. RSVP for docent training via email to no later than Oct. 10.

Riverwalk Clean Up Planned
A new volunteer workday program is being started on the Los Angeles River at the Glendale Narrows Riverwalk by the City of Glendale Community Services & Parks Dept. and sponsored by Glendale Parks and Open Space. Volunteers are invited on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to noon to remove invasive weeds from the landscaped areas along the trail. The Riverwalk is located at 300 Paula Avenue, Glendale (corner of Paula Avenue and Garden Street).
