Sept. 25
900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a woman reported that while she was shopping at a store she placed her iPhone in the shopping cart. After she made her purchases she went to her car that was parked in the parking lot and realized she had forgotten her phone. She went back to the store but the cart was gone and so was her phone. Surveillance video showed the woman leaving the basket with her cellphone in it and leaving the store. A short while later a man and woman, described as possibly Hispanic, entered the store and took the cart with the phone. The video showed the woman walking out of frame and the man finding the cellphone and putting it into his pocket. Later he walked out of the store as the woman paid for the items. He entered the store again and met the woman; they both walked out of the store at 12:33 p.m.

600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the front grill, headlights and bumper were stolen and the lock on the front door of a vehicle was damaged between 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Sept. 22
3100 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta, a laptop computer, iPad and purse were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

3000 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta, cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 1:56 a.m. and 1:59 a.m.

520 Harter Lane in La Cañada, a television and two paintings were stolen from a residence between Sept. 22 and Sept. 24.

Sept. 20
2300 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 26-year-old Montrose man was arrested for aggravated assault after he allegedly attacked a man at a service station. According to the report, the victim pulled his vehicle into the service station at the air pump area. He noticed another vehicle coming toward him “in reverse at a high rate of speed.” The victim honked his vehicle’s horn to warn the driver. The vehicle stopped and a man exited the vehicle, began yelling at the victim and punched the rear driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. The victim pulled away from the air pump and to a gas pump. He exited his vehicle and walked toward the man’s vehicle to take a photo of his license plate. The man approached the victim and began to hit him in the face. The victim pushed the man away, and got into his vehicle and left. Later the sheriff’s received a call concerning a family disturbance in the 2200 block of Waltonia Drive where the suspect and vehicle were found that matched the description of the man who attacked the victim at the service station.
The incident occurred at 5:03 p.m.
Sept. 19
4500 block of Glenwood Avenue in La Crescenta, several power tools were stolen from a vehicle overnight.

2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a 20-year-old woman was arrested for taking hair ties and eye drops from a store without attempting to pay at 1:25 p.m.
Sept. 17
400 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, blue fabric awning was stolen from the front of a dance studio between Sept. 17 an Sept. 19.
