Two hikers walked out of the Angeles National Forest a few hours after being reported missing today.
Montrose Search and Rescue members responded to a call that came into the Crescenta Valley Sheriif’s Station concerning two male hikers, ages 16 and 18, who were scheduled to meet one of the hikers’ father at Buckhorn after an all day hike from the Devil’s Punch Bowl area, said Deputy Steve Toley.
The hikers walked out of the forest on their own. Although only a few hours overdue the thunderstorms in the area added concerns for their safety.
