3000 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, mudguards were stolen from a vehicle overnight.
2900 block of Hawkridge Road in La Crescenta, an iPad, silver tableware, flatware and several pieces of jewelry were stolen and every room in the home was ransacked. The point of entry for the burglary appeared to be a rear sliding glass door that had been shattered. The burglary occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
1200 Flintridge Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a home invasion robbery occurred at the location. The home is located behind a large metal gate. When deputies arrived they discovered the home had been ransacked, with most of the activity occurring in the master bedroom. The resident reported that she had been home alone taking a shower. When she exited the shower, two male blacks entered the bathroom. The first suspect grabbed the woman’s phone from her hand and placed his gloved right hand over her mouth. The second suspect pointed a gun at her. The first suspect tied her hands and asked her questions concerning information about a family member. When she refused to answer, the suspect made a phone call to an unknown person. After the phone call, the suspect asked her for more information; she refused to answer. He then asked her last name and then allegedly said her father owed someone money. The first suspect stayed with the woman while the second and a third suspects searched the home. While they were searching, the first suspect walked the woman into her father’s master bedroom closet and secured her feet. The suspect exited the location via the master bedroom glass door. The woman was able to free herself and contacted family. A later investigation found that one revolver, two shotguns and cash were stolen from the residence.
Suspect No. 1 was described as a male, black with black hair, brown eyes, 5’ tall and weighing 160 pounds. The second suspect was described as a male, black with black hair, brown eyes, 6’ tall and weighing 220 pounds. There was no description of the third suspect.
The home invasion and burglary occurred at 9:25 p.m.
300 block of Knight Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a purse, laptop computer and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
Crescenta Valley Sheriff Sgt. Hector Mancinas reminds residents to call if they see anyone or anything suspicious in their neighborhoods.
“If neighbors see anything suspicious, someone who doesn’t belong in their neighborhood or someone knocking on doors or parked in driveways that do not belong don’t hesitate to call,” Mancinas said.
