1200 block of Journey’s End in La Cañada Flintridge, two packages that were left in a mailbox for the postal worker to pick up were stolen between 3 p.m. on Aug. 19 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 20.

Foothill Boulevard and the Glendale (2) Freeway in La Cañada, a laptop computer, two cellphones and a purse were stolen from a vehicle and the rear passenger side rear window was smashed while the car was parked in the Discovery Park lot between
2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

1300 Salisbury Road in La Cañada, a wallet and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

Aug. 19
2700 block of Prospect Avenue in La Crescenta, a 22-year-old Tujunga woman and a 36-year-old Sunland man were arrested after an investigation. A deputy noticed the man and woman sitting in a parked white van. He approached and asked if they had any identification on them. After an investigation, the deputy found that the woman had two warrants issued in her name. In the van, the deputy allegedly found what appeared to be marijuana along with paraphernalia including a pipe with what appeared to be a crystal- like substance resembling methamphetamine. A brass fire hydrant cover, a pair of gloves, flashlight and silver colored center glass punch were also allegedly found. Credit cards were found that did not match either suspect’s name. The two were arrested for suspicion of possession of stolen property, burglary tools and drug paraphernalia at 4 p.m.

Aug. 17
4100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a wallet was stolen from a woman’s purse that she had placed in the child’s compartment of a shopping cart while shopping at Ralph’s market at 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
