At the last Crescenta Valley Town Council meeting Stephanie English, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, reminded council members and the audience of the department’s Ready! Set! Go! Campaign.
“There isn’t a lot to burn in the Angeles National Forest after the Station Fire but there is still [a lot of vegetation] around that can burn,” English said.
The program is designed to educate and help residents prepare for wildfires and evacuation.
English reminded the audience that it is important to always have a plan and not to think that the Station Fire will be the last fire in the area.
